Where are your items created?

Our items our hand crafted in our Chicago studio. Our studio is a smoke free and pet free environment.

Do you have a Showroom?

Yes. Our Showroom is located in Chicago. You can make a private appointment to shop or attend one of our workshops or classes listed on our events page.

Are all sales final?

Yes, all sales are final.

How do you ship my items? How long will it take?

All items are sent via USPS.com via priority shipping. A tracking confirmation will be sent via email. Please allow 5-7 business days for delivery after order has been processed.

Why don’t your earrings match?

K-FLEYE earrings don’t match on purpose since 2003. Often we are give one opportunity to make a first impression so I figure you might as well give the onlooker something different to look at at each turn. Plus I think exact matches are boring. I like to create wearable art that includes great details.

What materials do you use for your ear hooks?

Our standard ear wires are made of hypoallergenic nickel-free metal. Other metals are available at an additional cost and by request. please check each product description. We also use sterling silver, gold-filled, copper, brass and stainless steel. metals.

Does hypoallergenic means nickel-free?

However, “Hypoallergenic” means that the jewelry will pose a minimal risk of creating an allergic reaction. Hypoallergenic earrings such as stainless steel may still contain trace amounts of nickel, enough to cause a problem in some people. To be sure, the safest jewelry to wear is nickel-free. If you are not sure do not buy them.

What is the best metal for sensitive ears?

Niobium. Probably the safest metal for sensitive ears, Niobium is 99.99% pure and not combined with any other metal.

Why do my ears have crust when I wear my earrings?

Dry skin in and around your ears may be caused by your environment. Hot or cold weather, for example, can make your skin dry out. If you're allergic to nickel, for example, you can develop dry and crusty skin on your ears if you wear earrings made from the metal. Please contact your doctor to determine if you have metal allergies.

Should I sleep in my jewelry?

No. It is a good practice to sleep in your jewelry. Please remove your jewelry.

Should I shower or swim in my jewelry?

No. It is a good practice to shower in your jewelry. Please remove your jewelry.

How do I store/clean my metal jewelry?

In order to prolong the life of your jewelry, wipe it down with a lint free cloth or polishing cloth after each wear and store it in a air tight pouch or velvet lined jewelry case. For all copper jewelry you can add a piece of chalk to the bag to prevent it from tarnishing so fast.

Do you repair/clean jewelry?

No. I do not clean jewelry. After each wear I would recommend wiping your jewelry off and storing it. I will repair jewelry that was created by K-Fleye due to an error or mistake or our part but not to misuse or lack of care and improper storage.

Do you create clip-on earrings and ear cuffs?

How do I clean my leather jewelry & bags?

There are a ton of great leather cleaners on the market that will clean and restore your leather jewelry. It is a good practice to clean your leather jewelry after a few wears or least once a month or as often as you see fit. You can also wipe clean with a soft microfiber cloth or wipe gently with a Magic Eraser. The best way to ensure your earrings stay clean is to avoid contact with water, cosmetics, hair spray, lotion, excessive oil etc. Do NOT just throw them in your purse, bag on on the dresser. Place your jewelry in a cotton/velvet bag to protect it from other items. Your K-FLEYE leather should be the last thing you put on!

Do you repair jewelry?

No, I do not repair jewelry I did not create. For an additional cost I will repair minimal normal wear and tear9ie replace a broken ear wire) but this is on a case by case basis. Please practice cleaning and storing your jewelry properly. It will last longer if you take care of it. Please email us if you are unsure.

I lost an earring, can you replace it?

Our jewelry is hand crafted and created in limited quantities or most often there is only one. Once it is gone that is it. Since we pride ourselves in using RECLAIMED leather and other items. and sometimes it is just no longer available. Please always wear your ear backs and ensure all snaps are secure to avoid losing your jewelry. It’s a good Idea to take pictures of your jewelry as a reference. I will do my best.

Do you create single earrings?

Yes. You can also build your own earring and create a pair. Shop the single earring section.

If I lost a K-FLEYE earring or item will you create another one?

Contact us with a picture. I will have to see it first.

Do you duplicate designs?

I try to keep all collections fresh and fly! If you see someone rocking K-Fleye I can create a similar style but it will never be exactly the same. We like our clients to wear original art. Our items are not mass produced.
