ABOUT KENESHA K. REED

Chicago born and Memphis raised, Kenesha Reed is a multi-hyphenate professional performing artist who is proud to come from such culturally rich cities. She is an alumna of Spelman College where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Drama with a concentration in Dance and the Boston Conservatory at Berklee where she received a Master of Fine Arts degree in Musical Theater Performance. Although she has studied dance intensely across genres over many years, it has been a driving force for her since she was child. It is a soul work for her. As a professional dance artist, she has had the opportunity to dance with Red Clay Dance Company for three seasons and has been featured in choreographic works staged by Vershawn Sanders-Ward, Lela Aisha Jones, Du'Bois Akeen, as well as, Gary Jeter, Debõrah Hughes, Meredith A. Moore, and Kenneth Green over the years. Throughout her career she has also served as a dance educator and choreographer for various public schools, theaters and dance schools across the cities of Memphis, TN and Chicago, IL. She has also served as a choreographer for Diva's Inc, as seen on Lisa Ray: The Real McCoy and Kandi Burress Bedroom Kandi | Tags Boutique ATL under the direction of Ricole "CoCo Lynn" Vanterpool, Morehouse College's MTV Save the Music Benefit production and school pageants. She is a force and enjoys empowering others through the spirit of movement. To her, "movement is the foundation of getting free".
