  • Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago 220 East Chicago Avenue Chicago, IL, 60611 United States (map)

2nd Annual Juneteenth Freedom Market at MCA

Juneteenth marks the day all enslaved people were ensured to be freed. Our joy—our art, music, community, and traditions—continues to endure. Celebrate by joining Refine Collective and the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago for the Second Annual Juneteenth Freedom Market, a bold and joyous celebration of Black creativity & entrepreneurship in Chicago.

GET TICKETS NOW. (Last year sold out)

Back bigger than ever, Freedom Market will feature:

  • A diverse range of 50+ local Black-owned businesses (SHOP K-FLEYE & more)

  • Live entertainment courtesy of the renowned 40+ Double Dutch Cub

  • Sounds by DJ Slot-A and DJ Cut Cuz all night long

Drinks will also be flowing from a cash bar, as well as limited drink samples thanks to our friends at Baileys.

Better yet, a portion of proceeds benefits The Gray Matter Experience, a non-profit organization focused on unlocking the self-determining power of Black youth, and strengthening their ties to community through real world experience in entrepreneurship.

We’re excited to see you there!

A BIG thank you to our event sponsors & partners: Wintrust, Baileys, Jon Basil Tequila, Red Bull, Lululemon, Perrier, One Design, McCormick Place, Accenture and AAERG Chicago for making this possible. Associated artwork by Eva Castillo.
